i smell coffee at Beleef Koffie 2012 – Utrecht

I was lucky that I could go to Beleef Koffie & Thee 2012 in Utrecht, last May. It’s Netherlands’ annual exhibition about coffee & tea. But it’s not only exhibition, but workshop, presentation, competition as well…  http://www.beleefkoffie.nl

I attended presentation from Rob Berghmans (Cafenation)… it’s inspiring!!! (I will give some of his tips on the next post). From the exhibition I’d got a chance to have more information about coffee machines… packaging… coffee’s friend (cake/cookies/chocolates)… and of course, I could be able to taste some coffee!!

So in about 6 hours… I finished my 5 cups of coffee… Here are the pictures & my comments…

My first cup was from the brandmeester’s (Netherlands’ s brand). The beans were collected from coffee’s plantation around the world. Named it! But this time I tasted the espresso-championissimo. From Le-mirage machine, it’s medium taste.. I mean not as light as DE.. I still can taste the fruity.. but not so much cream/nutty there…

Next cup, after I drank some water + ate banana… I tried Rioba. It’s produced by Makro-Netherlands. Surprisingly… the coffee was quite nutty…

Although I already know the taste… I still want to try this coffee again and again… Espresso Fabriek. This time I tasted cappuccino from Guatemala beans.

Golden Coffee Box was the next cup.

And I closed my afternoon with Bocca coffee.
